Can I order samples?
Definitely! I would love to send you samples, and encourage it if you are still figuring out fonts styles, ink colors, etc. Samples can be purchased through Etsy or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If I purchase my item do I then own the artwork?
No, all artwork used on items purchased is the sole property of The Turquoise Cardinal and cannot be reproduced or used in any manner without the express written permission of Christina Green.
What is your turnaround time? It varies by project and time of year. Calligraphy pieces without illustration are usually done in under one week. Calligraphy with illustration turnaround is typically 1-2 weeks, depending on the scope of the project and quickness in back and forth communication. As a rough estimate, please allow 3-4 business days per 50 envelopes.
What file format do you prefer for guest lists? I prefer lists in Excel format, but will work with whatever you're most comfortable with. Please see these guidelines for more specifics on how to word and submit your lists. I'm happy to help with etiquette questions you may have as far as the "rules," and also recommend looking over guidelines from Emily Post and Crane's.
How many envelopes should I send? I ask for a minimum of an extra 15% of the total number of envelopes to have on-hand in the event of a mistake or address change. So, if a commission is for 100 outer envelopes and 100 inner envelopes, I ask for a minimum of 15 extra outer and inner envelopes. More is certainly welcome, and I will return any unused envelopes to you.
Do you do rush orders?
There is a rush fee that varies depending on project and time frame, but if my schedule permits, rush orders are certainly welcome!
As a rough estimate, my typical timeline is 3-4 days per 50 envelopes. Please note however that this is only an estimate, as the actual timetable depends on scheduling, workload, complexity of project, etc.
For invitation design, finalization time depends on revisions and changes requested by the client (up to 3 revisions are included in the original price of the design).

How does payment work? Payment is accepted in the form of Cash, Check, or PayPal. Depending on the project, you will be emailed an invoice for a deposit of 50% or 100% of the final balance. Your deposit invoice must be paid to confirm your place on the calendar, and quotes over 30 days old are subject to change. This deposit is non-refundable.
What if I have an addition or correction to my project after you've begun? After an envelope job is completed and delivered, any requests for additional envelopes to be addressed will incur a $20 set up fee for each additional batch of envelopes to be addressed.
